PayLaws
Authorized deductions
The only deductions an employer may make from your wages: those the law requires or allows, or ones you agree to in writing.
Most useful for: Fresh grad, Career shifter
- In real life
- Tax, SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG are required by law. A loan you signed up for can come off too. A charge you never agreed to can't.
- Why it matters to you
- If a deduction makes no sense, ask payroll what law or paper it rests on.
An explanation to help you read your pay, not a ruling on your case. Your employer, the agency or DOLE has the final word.
