Minimum wage questions

What is the minimum wage in NCR in 2026?

₱755 a day for non-agriculture workers in Metro Manila under Wage Order NCR-28, effective 26 September 2026. The lower rate, ₱718, covers agriculture, retail or service with 15 workers or fewer, manufacturing with fewer than 10. On a 6-day week that is about ₱19,692.92 a month.

Which region has the lowest minimum wage in 2026?

As of 21 October 2026, the lowest daily rate PinaSweldo carries is ₱401 in Bangsamoro (BARMM) (elsewhere in barmm: agriculture or retail), under BARMM-05.

Do minimum wage earners pay income tax?

No. Under the TRAIN law, the statutory minimum wage and the holiday pay, overtime, night differential and hazard pay that come with it are tax-free. Minimum wage earners still pay SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG, and any pay above the minimum, such as commissions, is taxed.

How do I convert a daily minimum wage to a monthly salary?

Multiply the daily rate by the paid days in a year and divide by 12: 313 days on a 6-day week, 261 on a 5-day week (DOLE Handbook 2023). NCR's ₱755 is ₱19,692.92 a month on 6 days and ₱16,421.25 on 5.

What can I do if I'm paid below the minimum wage?

Call the DOLE hotline 1349, or file a Request for Assistance at any DOLE office for SEnA, a 30-day conciliation under RA 10396. Money claims must be filed within 3 years.
