Pag-IBIG contribution 2026

In 2026 Pag-IBIG takes 2% of your monthly pay, counted on pay up to ₱10,000. That makes the employee share at most ₱200 a month, and your employer adds the same ₱200. All of it is saved in your name and comes back to you with dividends.

The short answer

  • Pay over ₱10,000: ₱200 from you, ₱200 from your employer.
  • Pay of ₱1,500 or less: 1% from you, 2% from your employer.
  • In between: 2% each.
  • A year at the cap: ₱4,800 saved, both shares together.

How it works

  • Fund salary. Pag-IBIG counts your monthly pay up to ₱10,000, the cap HDMF Circular 460 set in 2024.
  • Rates. 1% from you if you earn ₱1,500 or less, 2% above that; always 2% from your employer.
  • Self-employed and freelancers pay both shares themselves, ₱400 a month at the cap.
  • Kasambahay under ₱5,000 a month pay nothing; the household employer pays both shares (RA 10361).
  • Before tax. Your share comes off before income tax, like SSS and PhilHealth.

Pag-IBIG contribution questions

How much is the Pag-IBIG contribution in 2026?

2% of your monthly pay from you and 2% from your employer, counted on pay up to ₱10,000 (HDMF Circular 460). Most employees pay the ₱200 maximum. If you earn ₱1,500 or less, your share is 1%.

Is Pag-IBIG still ₱100 a month?

No. Since HDMF Circular 460 raised the fund salary cap to ₱10,000 in 2024, the regular employee share is up to ₱200 a month, matched by ₱200 from the employer.

Can I contribute more than ₱200 to Pag-IBIG?

Yes. ₱200 is the mandatory employee share, not a limit on saving: you can ask your employer to deduct more. What your employer must add stays at ₱200.

Do I get my Pag-IBIG contributions back?

Yes. Pag-IBIG is a savings fund in your name (RA 9679). After 20 years of membership (240 monthly contributions), or when you retire at 60, it pays back what you and your employer put in, plus dividends.

How much can I borrow from Pag-IBIG?

Through the Multi-Purpose Loan, up to 80% of your total savings (both shares plus dividends), payable over 24 or 36 months at 10.5% a year, once you have 24 monthly contributions.
