Managerial employee
An employee whose main job is to manage the business or a part of it. The rules on hours, overtime and holiday pay don't cover them.
Most useful for: Career shifter
- In real life
- A department head may get no overtime pay, by law, even after a late night.
- Why it matters to you
- A job title alone doesn't make you managerial. The actual work decides.
An explanation to help you read your pay, not a ruling on your case. Your employer, the agency or DOLE has the final word.
