National Budget Circular (NBC)
Often called NBC
A DBM circular telling government offices how to carry out a budget rule, like a new salary schedule.
Most useful for: Government
- In real life
- NBC 601, dated 22 January 2026, carries the 2026 salary schedule: SG 15 Step 1 at ₱42,178.
- Why it matters to you
- When people ask where a government salary figure is from, the answer is often an NBC.
An explanation to help you read your pay, not a ruling on your case. Your employer, the agency or DOLE has the final word.
