SSS
The social security fund for private workers. It pays your pension, sickness, maternity and unemployment benefits.
Most useful for: Fresh grad, Career shifter
- In real life
- In 2026 SSS is 15% of your salary credit: 5% from you, 10% from your employer. On ₱30,000 that's ₱1,500 from you and ₱3,000 from them.
- Why it matters to you
- Every month paid in counts toward your loans and your pension, so check that it's posted.
An explanation to help you read your pay, not a ruling on your case. Your employer, the agency or DOLE has the final word.
